Zone 3 - Onboard Cruise Ships and Airlines

We are proud to offer coverage on board cruise ships and airlines but please be aware you are charged at Zone 3 rates. 

To avoid unexpected costs, data/internet usage is blocked by default but can be unblocked upon request. To control costs, once you disembark your cruise ship or aircraft we recommend powering your phone off and then back on again to ensure you connect to the relevant Zone 1 or Zone 2 network on land.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there new TravelSIM?

We asked over 10,000 customers what they would like from their TravelSIM for their next overseas trip. The response was fantastic and many of the new features (like free to receive calls and data packs in more countries) has come from this customer feedback. 

All this adds up to a superior experience when you next travel overseas.

What happens if I am travelling overseas soon?

During the upgrade process you will be asked for your next departure date. If we cannot get the new SIM to you in time, don't worry you can still take the old one and we will hold onto your new SIM until you return. Let us know once you're home and we will transfer your number and credit to the new SIM and pop it in the mail for you then.

What happens with my existing credit?

Any existing credit against your SIM will be transferred to your new SIM and credit expiry extended to 180-days.

What happens with my existing TravelSIM number?

Your existing number will be transferred to your new SIM and ready for use when you receive it.

What happens if I choose NOT to upgrade?

You can still use your existing SIM but will not have access to the cheaper rates, features (including free to receive calls) and Zone 1 Data Packs available with the new SIM. Your current SIM expires 30-days after your credit expires. 

We recommend you take advantage of this special upgrade offer for loyal customers whilst available.

Can I get a refund of current balance if I choose not to upgrade?

No, your current credit balance and credit expiry will remain as it is currently with your existing SIM card and account.

Can my upgrade SIM be sent to a PO Box?

Sorry, we can only send SIM cards to a residential address.

How much does it cost to upgrade?

If I upgrade do I keep the same SIM?

No, when you choose an upgrade offer we will send you a new SIM. (free postage to Australian residential addresses)

How long until I receive my new TravelSIM in the mail?

Your SIM will be sent via standard post and should arrive within 3-10 business days.
